SECRET SUBS OF PEARL HARBOR
Everyone knows about the brutal surprise attack on Pearl Harbor that left more than 2,400 Americans dead. But what has been hidden from history is that an hour before this massive onslaught, an American destroyer spotted and sank a Japanese midget submarine just outside the harbor. This was one of five subs lying in wait for the air attack to begin--the signal to surface and sink any American ships trying to flee the carnage. A National Park Service team probes the depths of Pearl Harbor, armed with high-tech video and sonar equipment. Explorer joins this search for the midget sub that started it all, deep in the waters off Pearl Harbor.
