Lifestyles of Leopards
Discusses the solitary lifestyle of the leopard, which generally is found alone except during the mating cycle. The male and female leopards then engage in courtship behavior until the female is truly ready to mate. Includes footage of rare collaboration to catch prey. After they mate, the female may give birth to a litter of cubs three months later. The mortality rate is high and the mother must constantly move her cubs to avoid predators. The cubs learn to hunt around 3 months of age, and it will take them up to two years to perfect this skill.
