In the Gulf of Mexico, the endangered Kemp's ridley is making a rebound due to the efforts of the NOAA Fisheries Service Sea Turtle Facility in Texas. Marine biologists there have invented a new technology for fishing nets that saves the lives of caught turtles, sharks, and large fish.
