Sea Salps
This short program examines the sea salp, gelatinous invertebrates which form colonies in the shape of long chains. The chains can reach lengths of 15 feet. While the salp resembles a jellyfish, with its translucence and bioluminescence, it is actually a chordate, which makes it a very distant relative of humans. The salp eats, breathes, and moves by pumping water through its body.
