Otter Chaos

Quick and agile, river otters have very few predators. Few animals dare to attack or prey upon them. River otters are endearing and captivating creatures. Fun and games seem to define their world. However, a few years ago in the State of Missouri, otters were not having a good time at all. Faced with over hunting and a shrinking habitat the otter almost vanished from the state's wetlands. The harsh reality that river otters were about to disappear from Missouri spurred Glenn Chambers and other state conservationists into action through their efforts; total 845 river otters were released back into the wild. Today, otters are thriving in Missouri. Chambers', an ardent conservationist and dedicated wildlife filmmaker, wants to make sure they remain visible in Missouri's wetlands for years to come.
