Looters
Native American gravesites across the US have been ravaged by looters who dig up the graves looking for what they see as buried treasure. Looters steal and sell sacred artifacts, especially jewelry, which are buried with the dead. The looters exist because of the lucrative trade in Native American artifacts, which are viewed as highly collectible and highly priced art. ON ASSIGNMENT travels to the Southwest and meets both the looters, who are serious about their craft, and the rangers who are trying to put an end to the destruction of their land and their heritage.
