Chimp Rescue

Dr. James Mahoney is on the most important mission of his life. In a race against time he has created an "underground railroad" for research chimpanzees who would otherwise face certain doom. Any chimps that are still in his lab by the end of the year will be turned over to the Cruella De Vil of animal research - Dr. Frederick Coulston. In the 1980's chimps were overbred in the U.S. for AIDS research. One problem was soon discovered - chimps don't develop AIDS or HIV. Thus their long lives in tiny cages are unnecessary. This film watches the story of the chimpanzees unfold in this fight against an evil empire ruled by a power-hungry tyrant.
