Watercourses

Streams, rivers, and lakes are the water courses that irrigate the planet. Mountain ground water rises to the surface and forms streams which flow down the slopes toward valleys. Streams join together and form rivers and lakes. Water from rivers flows into the seas and oceans. Water that evaporates from the ocean forms clouds, whose precipitation feeds the water courses, closing the cycle of water.
